Sweetie

Hey guys! Remember me? I've been a little overwhelmed in the past month or so adjusting to life as a college student. I'm glad I can finally get back to blogging, though. I've missed it.

Thrifted sweater, skirt, and polo, walmart tights, my usual shoes

A little eye that I doodled on my hand during class. I kind of want to get it tattooed on, but I think I would regret it. I've been really fascinated by tattoos recently. And technically I'm old enough to get them now! I'm going to wait a year and if I still like the designs I have in mind, I'll get them. Also note my sweet glitter manicure.

College has been really cool so far! I'm taking interesting classes, meeting interesting people, and generally getting used to being on my own. I've also explored the thrift and vintage stores in the area with varying success. Those of you who follow me on twitter and tumblr had the misfortune of seeing all my whiny feels posts from my first few weeks, but I'm doing a lot better now and am glad to be here!

Also, I bought a new camera! It's the first major purchase I've ever made on my own. I like it a lot! These pictures may not be the best quality, but I think that's mostly because I was being lazy. The camera is a canon powershot, in case anyone's interested. Not the fanciest, but good enough for what I do and for my minimum wage college student budget.

I'm working on decorating my room, and it's slowly becoming habitable and pretty. Once I get a few more things put up I'm going to make a big fabulous post about my room. It'll be great. Until then, I'll keep doing the outfit post thang and try to keep updating consistently.

I'll leave you with this song that I've been listening to on repeat while I write this. I've finally accepted that I like sugary pop music and will blast my Carly Rae down the dorm hall with pride.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who left comments during my hiatus! They made me feel warm and fuzzy etc. Also, Beyoncé bless all the people who followed me in the past month. Hi, welcome! I usually post more than once a month, I promise!

  2. As beautiful as always! I love your crazy space-sparkle nails, and that eye is possibly one of the coolest tattoo ideas ever. It's small, yet awesome.

It's also good to hear that college has been getting better. Hopefully it'll stay that way (and hopefully that'll mean more posts too!) I look forward to hearing about your room.

  3. I LOVE ROOM POSTS
    Sounds fan-freaking-tastic.
I love your outfit. The fact your hair sort of goes with it makes it 100 times more awesome :)

  4. I'm glad you're adjusting to college life! It can be a shock at first, but it gets better :) Love that whole look, and OMG the tattoo! It's so funny because I did the same thing recently! I doodle on my hands in class all the time and I drew an ankh on one of my fingers and it just looked so cool I was like "whoa, maybe I should get a finger tattoo..." except I wouldn't get an ankh because I like to get tattoos that have deep personal meaning to me. I only wonder how much hand tattoos hurt and how fast they would fade... I've been decorating my dorm room too! I'm pretty proud of it actually, most years it's been a half-assed attempt, I might make a post as well, can't wait to see yours! and EMBRACE YOUR POP AFFLICTION, my heart literally beats pop, and i actually AM seriously considering getting a tattoo that says "POP". I just feel like pop music has helped me through so many tough times, and it's so indulgent and happy and carefree and in-the-moment but it gets discredited as worthless, and I connect with that. So, never be ashamed of poplove! I'm currently rotating through Tswift's, Ke$ha's and Gaga's latest singles.
