Boo!

My costume this year is satanist cheerleader! I'm pretty proud of it. It hits all three requirements for a good costume: spooky, funny, and cute. It's hard to see in the pictures but the skirt is a little pleated kilt from the thrift store that I absolutely love.

I was inspired by this shoot on Rookie and by Molly Soda's black cheerleader outfit (I can't find any pictures, but I swear she had one? If anyone has a picture of it I'd love a link! It was rly cute etc).

Happy halloween! Time to overuse the word spooky and eat candy till we puke!

P.S. I hope all you east-coasters out there are doing okay! I'm sending love and safety vibes.

P.P.S. I started watching Honey Boo Boo and it's the best and I'm not the least bit ashamed.

  1. This is the best costume I've seen quite possibly ever. I dig the irony. Love it!

    1. I did make it! It was easy as pie. I took a small undershirt I had laying around and cut it into a sleeveless crop top. Then I painted on the stripes with fabric paint. If I had thought of it earlier I would have used black electrical tape, it would have been much easier and looked way better. Then I printed out the letters from a word document, cut them out and hot-glued them to the shirt! For a longer-lasting option you could make a stencil and spray paint. I'm so proud of myself for coming up with the process!

  3. Sooooo good! Your bangs look amazing too. You pull off black lipstick so well; I'm jealous. I got some to see what it would be like because I really wanted it to work but I don't think I look very good in it. Besides I think I'm too scared to go about wearing lipstick... Hope you had a good Halloween!

  6. ha, I love it! I was going to go as a vintage cheerleader, so like the good girl version of your costume, but I went as a doll instead. And a superhero.
