Valentino

So basically I'm obsessed with Valentino's couture and ready-to-wear spring 2012 collections. I don't often post about "high fashion" or whatever because I don't feel like I have much to say about it besides OMG CLOTHES SO PURDY, but these clothes are so very purdy that I made an exception. The lace! The flowers! Everything is so intricate and delicate and floaty.

The attention to detail in this collection is really what blows me away. The textures and tiny details are all so exquisite and beautiful.

Agh it slays me! In a good way! Valentino rules.

Purple haze

I haven't been keeping up much with the shows going on at fashion week. In fact, my only knowledge of the sartorial goings-on has come from reading other blogs. I'm pretty terrible at keeping up with high fashion, but  thanks to the Man Repeller I have discovered a collection that I absolutely love: Prabal Gurung!

I was surfing the internet the other day when I came across a picture of a beautiful dress. The name of the designer was Mary Katrantzou. I had never heard of her before, so I did a quick google search and found more of her designs. I was astounded! They are so beautiful!

That was kind of a lot of pictures. But I love them all! The prints! The shapes! The colors! *sigh* I don't know if everyone already knows about Mary Katrantzou, but she's a new discovery for me and she basically rules.
